We will be asking for volunteers to commit to reading through the Bible in a year (as we do every year). Below are three great options for you to consider. We will be contacting every member of Sheffield Chapel personally to get a confirmation from you as well as anyone else that would like a little light accountability in this endeavor (someone will email every four months to check on your progress).

One Year Bible Online link

(1) Chronological Bible Reading Plan – One of the most insightful ways to read Scripture and put the events into a time line. Brian Lewton and Dan Moulton spent this past year reading the Bible this way and I am sure they will attest that it was refreshing.

(2) One Year Reading Plan (excerpts from OT, Prov. Ps. NT) – Consulting the entire counsel of God is a great way to avoid getting bogged down trying to read cover to cover (which we do NOT recommend).

(3) Biblegateway Audio Bible – Fantastic for literally feeling your faith grow. The entire Bible is about 77 hours, so in just 12 minutes a day (they read faster than the typical person) you will have listened to the entire Bible in a year. Just go book by book and enjoy (though you may want to break up Leviticus for the sake of your own sanity).

(4) One of the above options in addition to listening to ONE sermon in that Bible book to add depth of knowledge. Try sermonaudio.com for hundreds of thousands of sermons.

(5) One of the above and add R.C. Sproul’s From Dust to Glory to the mix. Yes, it’s $50 but I promise you, you will learn more in this series as he walks through EVERY book of the Bible than you have in most of your life. I listened to the entire thing from beginning to end in one week (57, 23 minute messages) and loved every minute of it!!!

God bless!

Pastor Corey
